  I didn't know my girlfriend's ring size, and wanted it to be a surprise, so they let me borrow a flashy ring that would be fun to propose with, and then I could return it later and exchange for the ring my fiance really wants. Then it doesn't matter much if it doesn't fit perfect. Great for a fun surprise. They can make custom design rings. This ring was unique, and I hadn't seen the same design before. My girlfriend liked it, so she got the same design in her size (after she said yes). The price was good too.
